Quick update. I am not one of the 10 finalists in the Flatmancrooked fiction contest. Congratulations to Ted Wheeler, fellow Nebraskan, and the other finalists!
Time to really start pounding away. I have been lazy about writing lately. I’m not quite convinced that what Robert Olen Butler says is true, that if you take three or more days off from writing, it’s like you’ve never written a word in your life. However, I have to return to the daily writing habit.
Also, if you haven’t already checked out the new Best American Short Stories 2010, do so. New Wells Tower story, new Tea Obreht, and lots of other great stuff.
